DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Transfer to volcanoes national park and a visit to Iby’iwacu cultural village
Early in the morning, you will have a pick from Kigali hotel or airport and embark on your African safari with a scenic drive in the north of Kigali through lush hills, farms and villages. On arrival, you will check into your lodge for a relaxation and lunch.
After lunch at 3pm, you will visit the Iby’iwacu cultural village where former poachers turned into conservation ambassadors showcasing the Rwandan traditions, music, dance, medicine and hunting skills. After the visit, you will return to the lodge for a relaxation and prepare for the next day activities.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and return to Kigali
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers. After the briefing and group allocation, you will begin the trekking experience. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend an hour with them as you observe them, watch young ones play, mothers feed their babies and silverback protect his family. after the trekking, you will return to the park headquarters where you will receive a certificate of participation.
After Rwanda gorilla trekking, you will return to the lodge and freshen up and them later check out of the hotel and embark on the journey back to Kigali. On arrival, you will be dropped at your hotel, airport or any place of convenience.
