- Rwandan citizens: 7$ for adults, 4$ fir children aged 6-12 and free for children under 6.
- East African community citizens: 20$ for adults, 15$ for children aged 6-12 and free for children under 6.
- Foreign residents in Rwanda: 35$ for adults, 20$ for children aged 6-12
- International tourists: 100$ for adults, 50$ for children aged 6-12
To be eligible for EAC or resident rates, tourists must present valid identification such as a national id, passport or Rwandans residency permit. Children under 6 enjoy complimentary access regardless of their nationality.
Vehicle and transport fees
Visitors driving into akagera must pay a vehicle entry fee which varies depending on vehicle origin and type. All vehicles must be road worthy and 4WD is strongly recommended particularly during the rainy seasons when roads can be muddy or slippery.
